Bagborough Cricket Club

Bagborough Cricket Club is managed and run by volunteers.

Like most small village clubs, the committee is made up of players or ex-players who wish to give something back to the club by volunteering, our junior teams are run by team managers who are often (but not always) the parent of a child in the same age group.

Our volunteer team managers help to:

  • communicate with parents letting them know when and where the next match is
  • run coaching sessions
  • make sure that a responsible adult is available to run a fixture in their absence
  • co-ordinate with the Youth Representative to ensure that all the children are getting the right opportunities for their abilities
  • on match days help out with admin (scoring, collecting match fees) or umpiring if needed

Any help is always very welcome, and in many cases you don't need to have any knowledge of cricket to help out. You can choose to help the club in any capacity, whether it be team management, coaching, scoring, umpiring, team admin or fundraising.

If you can or wish to help in any shape or form, please contact the Youth Representative (if you wish to just help your child in their particular age group) or contact the club secretary direct if you feel you wish to help with volunteering for other duties within the club.
